The bakery items here are absolutely amazing. The bagels are freaking awesome (probably the best I've had outside the northeast), and the chocolate chip muffins are awesome, too. My only gripe (and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars) is the price of this place. Buying a few bagels and muffins, it's easy to get close to $20. Sorry guys, but no bagel place should cost this much. We get it, you're from New York so you're used to the prices up there, but things are a little different down here. Also, if you're going to charge out the ass, at least have the decently to pay a little on your end and install a credit card machine. I know you have one behind the counter because I've seen it, but every time I come in it's magically "broken" and I'm referred to the ATM in the corner. I think I'll start hitting up the NY Bagel place across from The Shores resort.

This diner brings you that homemade breakfast feel and taste. The service is good and the atmosphere is really calm. I'd recommend this diner if you're trying to have a laid back breakfast/brunch date or if you just want to eat by yourself. I got the 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast w/ cream cheese, & pita + hummus to go all for $12.50.

Great choice for breakfast. The lox bagel is especially good. We come here every year and it's always tasty! It's hard to please everyone in a big group but this place manages to do it.

I object to any establishment claiming they are a "New York Style Bagel" shop and they don't sell "Egg Bagels". (Not egg on a bagel mind you, but the simple, classic egg washed bagel.) That is just as egregious as the "donut shop" (which I reviewed) which doesn't make crullers - please. With that, the place is a little throw-back ish, could use a bit of upkeep and cleaning, however the bagel (I had to opt for plain) was a good bagel. Size, doughiness, texture, all of that was in line. I had a HEC SPK on plain (Ham Egg & Cheese w/ Salt, Pepper & Ketchup for those uninitiated). I find disappointment when they don't ask how I'd like the eggs cooked but I "get over it". The cheese had flavor (it wasn't that cheap stuff Subways and others use). The ham was Thumann's I believe - fair enough. Coffee was hot, no cream but those little annoying non-dairy lighteners (again boo). So all in all with time I walk away $8 poorer. I think there are better alternatives but in a pinch I would venture back in for a simple gutted schmear.

I'm giving this place 3 stars because I've been here three times and two of the three were pretty good but the third time was not good at all! A couple of us came in just before closing. The cook told us it was not a problem for us to stay but the two waitresses apparently felt different. The first waitress brought us only one drink and never refilled our drink even after asking her several times. When our food was ready the second waitress was so upset that we were there that she literally tossed our plates onto our table. Feeling uncomfortable we ate our food very quickly and left. We haven't been back since.

I have eaten here several times. I think the bagels are very good. Both the baked plan bagels and the specialty bagels with ham, egg & cheese. I do agree with the comments bout the deli being a little dirty. A little cleanup would help.

Really good pastrami reubens and onion strings. Don't forget to bring a dozen bagels home as well.

The bagel was good and the waiter was nice. Dissapointied that the $3 grapefruit juice was a meager 4 oz, I asked for a refill and was of course charged another $3. Not a problem until after tipping the waiter, I didn't have enough cash for the bill. According to the manger, they don't except credit cards because they are charged a fee. I had to use their ATM which charged me a few dollars instead. Also, not a problem until asking for a to-go box the manager charged 50 cents and had the nerve to tell me 'the goverment raised his taxes so he can't afford to give away boxes'. Despite the decent food, the managers penny pinching cost them a customer for life.

This place has been through several owners of the past decade. The original owners of this location sold this location to focus on their Ormond By The Sea location. I loved the Ormond location and went there for years; unfortunately bad times caused that location to shut down. This location has had a lot of ups and downs that correlated with the many different owners it has had. I ordered the nova lox open-faced with onions, tomatoes and capers on a toasted garlic bagel. The food came quickly and it had good flavor. I wasn't a big fan of the onions as they were cut thick (about 1/2 inch). I had asked if they were cut very thin and was told yes, so next time I will know they are not thin. The server did tell us that they will be removing some items from the menu and adding some new items as they recently changed ownership...again. We shall see.

Their bagels are AMAZING!! Definitely stop by when you come in for a visit, or if you live in Daytona and need a new breakfast place. I believe they have a new name, but I forgot to write it down before we left. They have a few different types of whipped cream cheese, but by far my favorite was the onion and chive with the asiago bagel. Great great breakfast!

Very surprised at the ratings for this place. I couldn't get over how dirty this place was...food uncovered and left to sit, a broken egg sitting in the refrigerated case in front, a dried up bowl of cut fruit in that same case, and worst of all a cook/owner who dropped a lid to a container on the ground and just picked it up and put it right back on the container without washing it. Seriously?! The bagels were not good and I'm thinking they might be frozen and not made fresh in house...could be wrong but when we wanted a bagel they were out of they told us they could toast more... The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is the lady who helped us was very nice and accommodating.

2 people, 3.5 orders of breakfast, $17.82+tip, awesome. we ate: 2eggs&bacon, everything bagel&cream cheese, western omelet, home fries, sausage patty, plain bagel, and 2 sodas delicious, great atmosphere, good service. my bacon was cooked to optimal crispness w/out any trace of "burnt-ness" fyi--there's a sandwich there named after Kevin Nash (a wrestler), if you finish the whole thing you get your picture on the wall and a free mug... i think i'm gonna do it this week.

Great food, great service, good value for the money! Got the pastrami Reuben with onion rings. May be a little greasy, but still very good. One thing.....get there earlier to get a fair offering of bagels. They ran-out of a few of the flavors.

If you're looking for a place to get an amazing homemade cup of soup or delicious sandwich...you gotta check it out! Chef Dano recently acquired this little gem and he's already putting his magic to work! Wait staff is awesome, the cook makes an out of this world Pastrami Reuben Sandwich and Chef Dano serves up his signature Key Lime Pie!!
